Blog 48/ Halfway Home: Stewarding the Miracles of 2026
Every season has its own blend. The first half of 2026 was brewed with faith, resilience, unexpected favor, and quiet miracles. As I step into the second half of the year, my prayer isn't simply for more blessings—it's to steward each one well. After all, God isn't finished brewing this story yet. ☕
As July begins, I find myself standing at the midpoint of 2026.
Six months behind me.
Six months ahead.
And if I am honest, the first half of this year has been nothing short of a blessing.
Not perfect.
Not easy.
Not without pressure, uncertainty, or private battles.
But blessed.
The first six months of 2026 have carried opportunities I could not have orchestrated on my own—national conference presentations, invitations to speak, research reaching new audiences, publishers expressing interest, classrooms filled with students, new teaching opportunities, and doors opening only months ago that I did not know I would be walking through.
None of it happened on my timeline.
None of it came without adversity.
And none of it can be explained by chance alone.
This has been a season where I have watched God do what Ephesians 3:20 reminds us He is able to do: exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or imagine.
Because truthfully, I could not have imagined some of this.
“People often see the accomplishments without realizing what existed alongside them.”
The unanswered opportunities.
The financial uncertainty.
The seasons of disappointment.
The moments of wondering how the next bill would be paid.
The loneliness that sometimes accompanies purpose.
The prayers whispered when no one else knew there was a battle taking place.
Yet somehow, through every obstacle, God continued to remind me that His provision is not limited by my circumstances.
I have learned that miracles are not always dramatic.
“This year has reminded me that stewardship matters just as much as success.”
Sometimes a miracle is another invitation.
Another opportunity.
Another person who believes in your work.
Another room you did not know your name had entered.
Another reminder that your purpose did not disappear simply because your path became difficult.
As America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday in just a few days, I have also been thinking about legacy.
Legacy is rarely built in moments of comfort.
It is forged through perseverance.
Through continuing when recognition has not yet arrived.
Through believing that the seeds you plant today may become shade for someone you may never meet.
And perhaps that is why this moment feels bigger than achievement.
It feels like stewardship.
Every presentation carries responsibility.
Every publication carries influence.
Every classroom carries lives that may be changed by a single conversation.
Every opportunity is an invitation to serve well.
I do not know what the second half of 2026 will bring.
There are still goals I hope to accomplish.
There are still prayers I continue to pray.
There are still doors I hope God chooses to open.
But I am reminded of Philippians 1:6: He who began a good work will carry it on to completion.
That means I do not have to have the whole map.
I do not have to understand every delay.
I do not have to force every door.
I simply have to keep showing up faithfully for the work God has placed in my hands.
For such a time as this, I am learning that faith is not believing everything will happen exactly as I planned.
Faith is trusting that God’s plans are greater than my own, even while I am still walking toward them.
So today, I do not simply celebrate accomplishments.
I celebrate faithfulness.
I celebrate growth.
I celebrate resilience.
I celebrate every lesson learned through both the victories and the valleys.
And most of all, I celebrate a God whose imagination has proven far greater than mine.
Here’s to the second half of 2026.
May I steward every opportunity with humility, lead with courage, continue serving others well, and never forget that the greatest blessings often begin as prayers whispered in seasons when no one else was watching.
Because when purpose leads the journey, miracles become milestones—and gratitude becomes the only appropriate response.
Until next time, keep brewing bold conversations.
